We are looking for a Finance Manager to help us continue to push the boundaries of what is possible. As part of the finance team, you’ll see the importance of your perspective and your ability to create value. You’ll also inspire and level up the team by producing work that is always raising the bar and sharing your approach to solving problems.

As the Finance Manager, you will be responsible for:

  • Provide the core finance team with daily, weekly, and monthly reporting on net digital assets and cash positions and account reconciliations
  • Monitor the platform’s ongoing digital assets trading, deposit, and withdrawal activities, and work with the broader team to rectify any issues identified
  • Work with the Trader to rectify any surpluses or deficits in asset balances arising from withdrawal subsidies and clawbacks
  • Prepare and provide journal entries to the finance team related to the platform activities
  • Process customer fiat deposits and withdrawals, working with banking providers and customer success teams where necessary
  • Ensure timely and accurate settlement with liquidity providers and other counterparties
  • Collaborate with the legal & compliance team to ensure existing and new processes related to customer funds have adequate controls to meet regulatory requirements
  • Collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure proper finance controls and processes are in place in relation to new features (e.g., staking, recurring deposits, etc.) 
  • Assist the core finance team with any regulatory or statutory financial reporting requirements
  • Must Haves:

  • Undergraduate degree in business administration, management or commerce
  • Minimum 3 years of professional work experience
  • Advanced competencies in Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to problem solve highly complex issues
  • Ability to collaborate remotely with teams from different functional areas 
  • Nice to Haves:

  • Big 4 audit firm experience with clients in the financial services industry
  • CPA designation or international equivalent (CA, ACA, ACCA)
  • Familiarity with SAAS tech stack (AWS, Datadog, etc.)
  • Familiarity with digital assets regulatory regime
  • Experience working in finops/compliance at a bank or an IIROC dealer member
  • Experience using cryptocurrency trading platforms and exchanges
  • Experience using NetSuite
  • Experience manipulating data through SQL queries or Python (NumPy, Pandas, etc.)

    As a DevOps protocols engineer, you will be a key contributor helping scale and operate the Axelar network.


    What you will be doing

    • You will be taking on responsibilities to operate the public network. This includes managing the deployments and upgrades of Axelar's smart contracts & core network, managing foundation delegations, driving governance of network and improving stability and reliability of in-house DApps.
    • Building and expanding our monitoring capabilities to ensure our stack, as well as that of public validators, runs smoothly
    • Evaluating and helping integrate new protocols
    • Strengthening our security posture and refining protocols for offline signing etc.
    • Improving the infrastructure and deployment to improve team's agility and velocity
    • Forging solid relationships within Axelar to fully understand the needs in the ecosystem whilst working in an agile environment

    Requirements

    What you will need

    • Experience deploying Smart Contracts
    • Good understanding of cryptography
    • Scripting / Go / Rush coding skills
    • Experience managing a blockchain network, coordinating upgrades etc.
    • Experience with containers and Kubernetes in a cloud environment
    • Experience with monitoring and alerting tools (Grafana, Prometheus, etc.)
    • Experience working with modern CI/CD tools
