About This Role - Derivatives Client Onboarding Manager - VP

We are currently seeking a highly organized, forward-thinking, and enthusiastic Derivatives Client Onboarding Manager who will work closely with all members of the organization in New York and globally as we expand our Derivatives Swap Dealer business. The candidate will be instrumental in helping to roll out strategic initiatives and project implementation pertaining to Derivatives client onboarding pursuant to CFTC and Dodd Frank requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Own, manage and oversee the Derivatives Client Onboarding process for the Genesis client base and work closely with Sales, Product, and support teams to ensure a smooth process for the client
  • Act as a Subject Matter Expert for onboarding escalations pertaining to CFTC and Dodd-Frank requirements
  • Liaise with legal and onboarding personnel regarding process exceptions and policy requirements
  • Act as quality/completeness review checkpoint for existing onboarding team, with regards to inbound client derivatives representations
  • Send outbound communications for missing or incomplete derivatives representations
  • Work closely with the Tech/Product team to implement automation for the Derivatives Onboarding process
  • Assist with secondary reviews/approvals of client applications
  • Work closely with senior members of the team to operationalize and implement new policies and procedures related to KYC/onboarding
  • Support senior team members with the creation of monthly Derivatives onboarding metrics, coordinating data from relevant stakeholders, and collating MIS for regulatory and internal reporting
  • Continuously identify and suggest process improvements. Partner with sales, compliance, and product teams to improve the workflows and drive positive change
  • Stay current with regulatory changes and requirements around CFTC and Dodd Frank obligations

Requirements

  • 7+ years of KYC and Derivatives Onboarding experience within a financial services or digital assets/cryptocurrency space
  • Solid understanding of CFTC, Dodd Frank requirements, and use of IHSMarkit
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills
  • Results-focused, detail-oriented, and capable of building and managing a large-scale, multi-stage process in a fast-paced, client-centric, and dynamic operating environment
  • Bachelor’s degree (CAMS Certification is a plus)
  • Experience using compliance applications and investigative tools such as CLEAR, World Check, or LexisNexis, etc.
  • Familiar with AML regulations related to client due diligence on high-net-worth individuals and institutional clients.

We’re Hiring: Client Service Engineer

Talos is looking for an experienced customer-facing engineer to help support our customers in a fast-paced, 24 / 7, global digital asset trading ecosystem.  This individual will play a key role in ongoing customer success and the overall health of our trading systems.

Reporting Manager: Ethan Feldman, CTO.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Serve as primary point of contact between Talos and our customers, including interactions with head traders, engineers, and system administrators
  • Engage in maintaining system stability and dedicated servicing of client inquiries and helping with client integrations, including real-time monitoring of production systems
  • Work with clients to help troubleshoot and resolve issues and questions in live trading systems as part of a global team that provides 24 / 7 support
  • Ascertain common customer pain points and proactively solve future problems before they happen by working with the broader team, including sales, account management, and engineering to deliver a better experience
  • Assist broadly with client acquisition pipeline, including on-boarding, integration, and account management

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in customer-facing support / engineering role
  • Programming and / or scripting experience preferred
  • Engineering degree or quantitative equivalent or similar experience
  • Experience with Linux and distributed systems / cloud services
  • Experience with trading systems in either capital markets or digital assets strongly preferred
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional problem-solving ability
